Why You Should be Batching Content as a Creator
What is batching content? Simply put, it's making lots of videos and saving them to drafts so that all you have to do is post, freeing up your time to have a life. This is the one piece of advice I wish I could actually follow! When I do manage to have batched content, I'm always like—this is so easy, I should really be doing this more often—but these days, I'm posting on the fly and my content is suffering for it. I used to wake up every day with so much excitement about making content and I would make six or seven videos and just save them to drafts, but when you are posting 3-4 times a day, that well runs dry quickly. Excitement has turned to exhaustion after more than three months of posting every. single. day. Make no mistake, this is a job, not a side hustle. I desperately need a break, but I can't afford to take one when I am in the middle of account suppression, so I will have to soldier on until some of my violations drop off and see where I stand.
Even if you only have one or two products to promote (I highly recommend keeping it to a minimum when you are first starting) you should be making as many videos as you can about them until one hits and then use that formula to keep posting new content. Pay attention to your analytics, too. Posting on the busiest days and times your audience is most active is a huge way to boost engagement and maybe see that viral video pop off for you! To find this information, go to your 'hamburger' at the top of your profile page and click on it. Then click on TikTok Studio and at the top you will see Analytics, click 'view all.' At the top of the next page you will see a header—Overview, Content, Viewers, Followers, LIVE—click on followers and scroll to the bottom to see most active times. Use your analytics people!! It's a valuable tool to master.
Anyway, those are my two nuggets of wisdom for today that, hopefully, you will take and implement better than I have done for myself, because I am lazy by nature and a world champion procrastinator. 😬 As always, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Also, let me know if any of this helps you in any way. I don't want to be wasting my time here if nobody cares (sing those last two words for full effect—think John Ralphio from Parks and Rec.
Love ya, byyyeee!! 💖
